MIX: Jorge Savoretti & Dario Zenker @ Harry Klein

Just grabbed this set after finding the link courtesy of Minimal Sausages (or should that "ssgs" to give it its proper if slghtly wnky mnml spllng) :)

Jorge Savoretti is an Argentinian producer (who did "150 Reasons to Bite You", one of the bigger tunes of 2007) - have just listened to his Undo remix on his Myspace page, awesome stuff - check it out here: Jorge Savoretti Myspaz

Dario Zenker is a prolific Berlin based producer. I first became aware of him when he remixed one of the Lee Van Dowski and Quenum tracks on Soma; since then he's done loads of stuff for labels including the likes of Esperanza, and more recently with Bruno Pronsato on Telegraph. Clickety here for more info: Dario Zenker Myspaz

Anyway here's the link to their set at the Harry Klein club in Munich:

Q. What's more depressing than having no good new music?

A. Having wads of ace new stuff like Tim Xavier - Soil Between and DJ Koze 'Mariposa' on Kompakt and loads more when one of your CDJs decides to pack in :(

Whilst I'm a huge fan of digital djing and will never go back to playing vinyl, I've never had any problems in 15 years of Technics 1210 abuse, literally not even one, so I'm a bit gutted that one of my supposed "market leading" digital turntables broke without even the slightest hint of rock'n'roll style chucking out of a hotel window, soaking it in Jack Daniels, or using it as a small plastic punchbag after the Mayweather Hatton fight.

Still, for all the money I've saved buying digital instead of black I could probably buy three spare DVJs and still have money to burn, so can't complain really.

Anyway whilst the nice people at SI Sound And Light fix my baby, I've been making the most of a good opportunity to catch up on some other mixes, starting off with another amazing Resident Advisor podcast

This time it's Beat Pharmacy honcho and New York based dubby techno producer Brendan Moeller at the controls. Grab the podcast here on RA (be quick though, not sure how long it will be up). On first glance the tracklist looks great, featuring tracks from some of my faves including Michal Ho, Tim Xavier, Jichael Mackson and loads more, and after a few listens I can safely say the mix doesn't disappoint...
