ok, i'm rewriting this bit at the moment... it all seemed just a tad self indulgent and generally a bit crap.

...anyway, bits i liked which will remain in the rewritten one, in fact maybe i'll leave it like this:

- currently am a resident at awesome underground Edinburgh clubbing institution BEATROOT, i do the more techy side of things whilst monthly residents Ryan Turner and Ricky Palys do the more big room, electro bangers... also resident there is legendary Edinburgh dj Kev Wright

- did dj at some of scotland's pioneering acid house, prog & techno clubs, most notably Skank in Aberdeen, around the same time as the launch of labels like Guerilla, Zoom, Soma, Hook & Bellboy, Bush Records, Limbo, Chemical Records, Hyper Hype etc

- ran a successful night in Aberdeen for a few years with my brother Andy, called Area 51, which included "before they were famous" gigs from James Holden and Lee Burridge, plus regular guest spots from the likes of Kev Wright, Chris Cowie, Nick 'Eyes' Tweedie and many more... plus several very messy beach parties

- have been fortunate enough to play some cool clubs like the Melkweg in Amsterdam, the Arches in Glasgow, Password in Moscow, the legendary Sublime night at Wilkie House in Edinburgh, Klatka in Warsaw, Cacao Beach in Bulgaria and Nighttown in Rotterdam, as well as festivals such as the Skye Music Festival and the more outlandish Full Moon Parties in Kazakhstan

- was a label dj and sometime production dabbler for Hook & Bellboy Records alongside the excellent Chris Cowie; watching someone like him at work convinced me i am better at playing other more talented people's records than i am at making my own, although i was quite proud of Structured (Hook Recordings) which featured on the Essential Mix (there you go mum)

- currently i play mostly dubbed out house to Hawtin-esque warped minimal techno, bits of tech-house, bits of *shock* prog (not so much now as it's hard to find anything good)
